Gospel Women was created just for you.
Hi, I’m Karen Dixon, the founder of Gospel Women! Over the past eight years, many of you have told me your stories. In prayer ministry, pastoral care, women’s groups and mentoring sessions, as well as over many cups of coffee, you have shared your experiences and insights with raw honesty. You’ve spoken about your challenges and your inspirations. Many have told me of how your deep desire to serve God has remained an unfulfilled dream.
Just like you, I also struggled to find my purpose. I didn’t always know that women could lead, teach and minister. I grew up in an era when women couldn’t stand at the front to pray! So, how did my story change? It was surprisingly simple. I had a miraculous encounter with the Gospel of Jesus.
You see, the answers are right there for us, in the gospels. All through the Bible, God reveals his plan for humankind, and very specifically, for womankind. When I saw this with my own eyes, everything in my life began to change. My new normal became praying for others, teaching, and eventually, pastoring and leading. I discovered that Jesus came to bless women and set them free. So it shouldn’t be surprising that he changed my life. Jesus is offering new life to you too!
So, what next? How do you move forward?
The perfect place to begin is to explore your identity as a woman, in scripture. Like the gospel women of the Bible, your identity and purpose are in Jesus. I’d love to send you a series of devotional emails to guide your exploration. Once you know how God sees you, nothing can stop you!
